October 30 - November 2, 2018 at Shirshov Institute of Oceanology the International Symposium "MSP-2018" "Mesoscale and Sub-mesoscale Processes in the Hydrosphere and Atmosphere" is held, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Sciences Prof. Konstantin Fedorov.
The Symposium is organized by Shirshov Institute of Oceanology of RAS and S.Yu. Witte Moscow University with the assistance of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research. The director of the Institute of the IO RAS, A.V. Sokov, will deliver a welcoming speech to the participants of the Symposium.
The selected articles based on the reports will be published in the Journal Oceanological Research in a special issue.
Abstracts of the reports are published to the beginning of the symposium in a separate compendium with assignment of the DOI to the compendium and each report. In the near future, a collection of works of MSP-2018 will be uploaded to the RSCI in full-text format.

- Operational oceanography and information technologies;
- Instruments and methods for studying the hydrosphere and atmosphere.
